Process Quality Analyst (PQA)
Manage analysis of process plans by means of P-FMEA, ensure quality controls are implemented in the as-planned processes in accordance to APQP standards
The role is not to author Process Plans, it is to analyze and improve existing Process Plans and make sure quality controls are specified and put in place for execution.
- Identify through Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (P-FMEA) the impacts of all potential failure modes on reliability of Process Plans
- Process plans do include fabrication and assembly, but also operations such as incoming inspection, logistics/transport, packaging, etc.
- Understand product key characteristics (from upstream D-FMEA) and make sure process key characteristics are controlled well to ultimately ensure product quality
- Ensure that current prevention and detection controls are implemented as-planned and propose actions to lower failure occurrence (improve process) and/or improve detection probabilities
